I'M IN NICARAGUA! We flew in this past Monday night. The plain ride there was interesting and not bad at all-but funny.

So, we got on the flight to go to Nicaragua and were waiting for the plane to take off. They were waiting for baggage or something. Thirty minutes later we took off and started our 2 hr and 52 min flight to Nicaragua. A little while after take off, the flight attendants passed out forms we all needed to fill out for customs. We needed an address to where we were going, and I had no idea what to put. I tapped Valerie on the shoulder and asked her what to put, and she said she wasn't sure. Then, this man who was sitting across the aisle, with out saying a word, motioned for Valerie to give him her paper. So she did, and he wrote out some address under the address slot. It was in Granada (where we were going), but we had no idea what it said, and were a little freaked out.

So, we just kind of moved on, and kept filling out the paper, finally handed it in, and enjoyed the rest of the flight. When we arrived in Nicaragua, we got our bags, after going through customs and met up with Seth. He lead us to the van, and as he was opening the door, this man and his wife were in the car. They looked so familiar. The man was saying "surprise!", and that's when it hit me. The man in the van was the man who was on the plane ride with us, who filled out the address thing for Valerie. His name is Charles and his wife's name is Sarah. They are our host missionaries, and they were on the same plane ride as us because they were in the states visiting people.

So, I guess you could say that was our first experience in Nicaragua. It was pretty funny. J
